Dumfries Arms Hotel - Cumnock

We had a relaxing overnight stay in a spacious room with a super king bed, perfect for our family. The staff were friendly even with a wedding happening. The leisure facilities enhanced our downtime, and highlights nearby like Dumfries House provided wonderful bonding opportunities for our family. While some food service issues arose, overall, it was a good experience.

Fairly clean accommodation, amazingly nice and fabulously friendly staff. New-fashioned and huge units with a nice view. Central location close to event at Dumfries House.

I really enjoyed my stay, especially the lovely meals we shared in the restaurant and the cozy vibe of the outdoor sitting area. It was nice to kick back with a hot drink and some great cake while chatting with friends in the lounge. One minor hiccup was the lighting in the room, which made things a bit tricky when getting ready, but overall, I had a fantastic time! 😊

I recently enjoyed my time at Dumfries in Cumnock. The room I stayed in was clean and modern, made for a pleasant arrival. The staff were friendly and always ready to help. Dinner was delicious, especially the Thai green curry I had, and breakfast was equally excellent with a variety of options. The shower pressure could definitely use some improvement. It felt a bit lacking. I also noticed some noise from outside in the morning, a bit disruptive. There were issues with the housekeeping. I asked for air freshener due to a lingering petrol smell and it never arrived. The furnishings seemed worn in certain areas, especially the bedside tables. It was a good stay but there are definitely some areas to improve on.

Had a great two-night stay! The breakfast was truly delightful with a fantastic selection, and the dinner prior to the wedding was excellent—everything was cooked to perfection. we did find the room style differed from the hotel's photos, but it was still spacious and had lovely toiletries. I'd definitely choose this place again!

great access to parks and museums in cumnock

I recently spent a night in a lovely standard double room and found it just a few steps from both The Baird Institute Museum and Castle William, made walking around town super enjoyable, especially in the nearby parks like Holmhead. While the breakfast was delicious and the dining options nearby were a real treat, it would have been nice to have a roast beef dinner, which we were told wasn't available.

The breakfasts were a highlight, with fresh local haggis and perfectly cooked eggs. My room was cozy and clean.
